Imito has developed an innovative 3D job interview simulation, leveraging VR technology and AI-driven avatars to provide students with realistic, immersive interview experiences

This initiative can enable students to practise interviews with AI avatars that simulate real-world job scenarios based on actual job descriptions, offering a cutting-edge approach to career preparation.

Simulation Workflow

The experience begins when a student selects a company from a virtual menu, which provides information on various organisations, their industries, and job positions available for interview simulations. Once a selection is made, the student enters a 3D-rendered interview room designed to match the branding and corporate atmosphere of the chosen company. The environment is immersive, featuring realistic office elements, adaptive lighting, and sound effects to enhance authenticity.

Within this space, an AI-driven avatar interviewer initiates the interview process, engaging with the student using natural language processing. The AI interviewer dynamically interacts with the student, asking role-specific questions based on the job description. It evaluates responses for clarity, confidence, and relevance, adjusting follow-up questions accordingly. Various interview styles, including behavioural, technical, and case study-based interviews, can be simulated to provide a comprehensive experience.

To enhance realism, the AI interviewer is fed job descriptions directly from uploaded text documents. These descriptions are analysed to extract key skills, qualifications, and responsibilities relevant to the role. The system then generates tailored interview questions, ensuring that students receive an experience that mirrors real-world job interviews. This approach allows for the integration of actual job postings into the simulation, making the exercise highly relevant to students’ career aspirations.

Feedback & Performance Analysis

Following the interview, the AI system provides real-time feedback based on the student’s responses. It assesses verbal communication, content relevance, and overall confidence, offering constructive suggestions for improvement. Additionally, students receive a detailed performance report summarising their strengths and areas for development. This iterative learning process enables students to refine their interview skills over multiple sessions, gaining confidence with each attempt.
